trade in deal I-Phone 11 pro

I got my new I-Phone 13 pro on Nov 5th. I sent/delivered my I-Phone 12 to the UPS store in the box provided by Apple. Got a message today saying my trade in was valued at $125 out of $500 due to the camera not working. I can buy anything I want, I am an Electronics Technician I wouldn't send a defective phone back expecting $500 if it were not working. The camera roll is proof that the phone was taking good pictures up until the day I turned the new phone on, all I did was put it in the box and ship it, now between shipping and (UPS) and Apple someone damaged that phone and I have no proof other than my camera roll and my wife whom is a witness that the I-phone camera always worked or I would have been angry with a 1,000 phone with no camera. I don't roll like that. Somebody owes me some money. The customer service rep said in the report there was no physical damage to the phone so I am thinking that when they plugged it up to test it that's when it got damaged. I was worried all the time about this, that this could happen and it did. I only at this time have my word an established person who doesn't go around with a 1,000 phone and the camera don't work. I know honestly for sure it worked before I sent it. What can I do ?

I am not sure which country you are from. Please read the last paragraph for the process in the USA.

How did you buy the new device? Was it without knowing what you would get back from the Trade-in?

The Trade-in Process...

"Just answer a few questions either in an Apple Store or online (https://www.apple.com/shop/trade-in - Click on Smart Phone icon) regarding the brand, model, and condition of your device. They will provide either an estimated trade-in value or a simple way to recycle it.

If you accept the trade-in estimate in the store, they will give you instant credit toward a purchase.

If you accept it online, they will send you a trade-in kit (at no cost to you) so you can send them your device. Then, once they receive your trade-in device, a team will inspect it and verify its condition. If everything checks out, they will either refund the purchase method you used to buy a new Apple device or they will send you an Apple Store Gift Card via email.

If the condition doesn’t match what you described, a new estimated trade-in value will be sent to you via email. You’ll have the option to either accept this revised quote or reject it. If you reject it, your device will be sent back to you at no charge."
