Search photos by date

With iOS 15.1, are we no longer able to search photos by date? I can search by month, but now if I enter a specific date in the search bar (for example “November 13”) , it returns no results.

Look at the Info for a photo, how the date is written (it will depend on your Settings for the language and region).

I can find the photos for the 6th of November by entering the date as 6.11.2021 day.month.year. You Amy need to switch the position of the month and the date. Unfortunately, it is impossible to recognise the photos in the search result, because the photos are cropped to squares and the heads brutally chopped off.

This worked! Thank you. My photos were dated as “Nov 13.” Up until I updated to iOS 15.1 I had no issues searching with the full month name.

As for today's photos - I had to close the camera, before the Photos.app has been showing the photos from today in a search. Give Photos time to index the new photos properly and to sync them with iCloud.
