drag contacts to group

On Mac computer in iCloud, unable to drag contacts to group. I highlight the individual contact # and drag it to the group, but it just disappears, doesn't get added.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Drag and drop feature is discontinued for contacts to groups in www.icloud.com , but enabled in Mac address book .
