macbook air running monterey doesn't lock when i close the lid
hi everyone, just bought a macbook and updated to monterey, when i close the lid it doesn't lock until it goes to sleep, anyone know how to fix this?

In System Preferences>Security>General do you have it set to require password and also to require password immediately after sleep?
If still problem try booting to Safe Mode, which takes minutes. If it locks in Safe Mode do a normal startup and see if it locks.
