M1 imac temperature

I have a M1 iMac w/16gb of ram, once I a while I will fire up X-Plane 11 flight simulator. The sim runs great on this machine. But I am concerned about the temperature of the cpu. When the sim is loading the cores will reach 100°C for a few seconds. After that it will will drop to 80°C then jump up again. Do we know the safe operating range of these wonderful chips. The fans do spin up to the max for short periods when it in the 100° range.

You just need to trust that Apple had done enough testing to know when to max out the fan. You should not worry. However, if you really wish to keep your iMac cool, there are third party apps to manually change the fan speed. Hope that helps!
