MacBook Air m1 speaker making buzzing sound when playing songs

Are you updated to the latest macOS, which is macOS Monterey 12.0.1? You can check under the Apple logo at the top > About This Mac.

Go ahead and boot your Mac into safe mode and test if the same buzzing noise continues: How to use safe mode on your Mac. Follow the 'Apple silicon' steps.

If you're still having the same issue with your speakers making a buzzing noise, you'll want to test for the same issue while in safe mode. Open this link: How to use safe mode on your Mac. Follow the steps under 'Apple silicon' to boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode, test all audio sources to see if you still hear the buzzing noise. Then, depending on your results, continue under the next relevant section, which is either 'If the issue continues in safe mode', or, 'If the issue doesn't continue in safe mode'.
