AUV3 seems broken with IOS 15, causing various app not to work anymore, is this going to be fixed?

Updated from IOS 14 to 15 and now some auv3 apps do not work anymore. I have contacted the developer and they share reports that is it an issue in IOS 15 that is the cause. Is this being fixed? Why the change?

technical bit I read is something about: MIDIOutputEventBlock is supposed to be Nullable but in IOS 15 it isn't..

Likely several music related apps that customers use and love will not work correctly anymore!

The site is owned by Apple, but most of us are other users and have no power to redirect to teams within Apple. (A few people work for Apple, but just to keep order and supply occasional canned answers.)

If you want actual assistance from Apple Support personnel, start with the "Get Support" link at right top of this page.

After reviewing your post, it seems like you updated the iPhone and other apps are not working. There are a couple things you can try that may be able to help. We would recommend you use this article to help troubleshoot the issue.

"Check for updates

To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad."

P.S. this is happening on multiple music AUV3 apps I have read, not just one so it also helps to point the issue being IOS related, in my humble opinion.

Hello Mario49, thanks for your reply.

Before raising this post I tried to uninstall ands re-install the app no change in the issue.

I also contacted the developer who thinks it is an issue with IOS 15 that Apple deployed , I gave the technical blurb in the original post too. So the developer(s) say it is Apple's IOS 15 fault, Apple say to contact developers... looks like I might be going in circles :)

Maybe the Apple dev team can review the technical part and comment? E.g. is it a known issue, will it be solved?

In my view: I do not really want to contact your support dept, maybe it can be handled internally by you/apple, what is the difference between this forum and the support team you refer too? If Apple introduced a bug /change you should review/fix it, why should I have to do anything.

My point/question now is why should I spend more time going to some other support forum, can't you redirect this to the relevant team within Apple?

Apple hosts the site for us (their users) to discuss among ourselves. As users, we have no more power to reach Apple teams than you do.

As stated above, you should report to Apple through one of the paths they have created for that purpose (feedback or support).
