No sound in games.

Just got my airpods max last week and I love them so far, but I am having a really annoying problem. I have them synced to my PC over bluetooth and anytime I open a PC game they go silent. Bluetooth says they're still connected, and Windows 10 says it is set as the primary audio device but nothing is coming through.

It’s works absolutely fine when using everything else on my PC, but never in games.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this? It's driving me nuts and I am on the verge of returning them.

Windows, Windows 10

Based on your report so far I would suspect there is another setting somewhere in the Windows or game options, to control where sound from your game is sent. It might be as simple as something like different sound (stream/file) types, and you have missed the setting for sound from your game. You might get a clue from where the sounds from your game are actually coming out when you play - is there an option to configure this, remember to look within the game configuration while the game is active because it might disappear when the game is not running.
