Using Time Machine to backup to a Micro SD card?

I have the new Macbook Pro with only about 125 Gb of data on it and I'm wondering if I can use Time Machine to back up to a 512gb Micro SD card so I can get incremental backups while I'm travelling an not on wifi (which does backup to my office site cloud storage.

It could also be a third type of back up using the 321 method of backing up. I of course use an external backup hard drive when I'm at home/office.

I know its not necessarily practical but it gives me peace of mind that new work is getting backed up before I get back home/office.

Is it possible?

Thanks!

Sure you could under the circumstance,

otherwise USB flash and SDcards might not be considered long term reliable.

iCloud, Dropbox are other options for backing up on the fly...
