The Apple Watch series 7 Nike Run Club (NRC) distance tracking is accurate outdoors, but indoors the accuracy is off by about 3 to 3.5 minutes per mile compared to the NRC on the iPhone 11. Please let me know if anyone else has a similar problem or suggestions on how to improve indoor distance accuracy? Thanks
I calibrated the Apple watch several times and it doesn't provide accurate mileage indoors. I am running with both watch and iphone. Last night watch measured 7.71 miles and iphone measured 11.25 miles. Today watch was 8.85 miles and iphone was 11.15 miles. The watch accelerometer doesn't work properly. Calibration doesn't help. Nike Run Club (NRC) app might be able to fix the problem by comparing results on both devices and calibrating. We have purchased many apple watches and none of them are very good. I'll probably return the Apple watch and wait until the problem gets fixed.

We understand that your Apple Watch isn't showing accurate workout measurements. The article you provided ( Calibrating your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy ) provides great steps for recalibrating. Were you able to complete the recalibrating steps? Have you checked to make sure all location services are turned on?
