My ipod touch when opening apple music, I get a blank screen and some tracks sound distorted, what could be the cause?

We're glad to hear that you're able to launch the Music app without issues. Did you have a chance to test playing that same song on a different device or using Apple Music on the web?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that the Music app on your iPod touch opens to a blank screen, and that the sound for some songs is distorted.
For the Music app opening to a blank screen, we'd recommend following the steps below in the order listed.
Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Redownload apps and games from Apple
For the distorted sound, let us know if the same issue occurs when playing the same songs using a different output. For example, try connecting headphones or a Bluetooth speaker.
If the issue is isolated to the built-in speakers of your device, these steps may help: If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

Thanks for following up. To confirm, are you still experiencing both issues mentioned in your original post?
You mentioned that the Spotify app is working as expected. What were the results of testing those same songs in the Music app using a different output? Was the sound quality the same? Does the same issue occur when you play these songs in the Music app on a different device, or via Apple Music on the web: Listen to Apple Music on the web and in apps

Many thanks for your reply, I did as you say but it did not work, Spotify runs perfect, just wish Apple Music did too!!
