Apple One Premier plan, Family Sharing for Apple Music

Hello there,

I've purchased an "Apple One Premier Plan" to share with my wife. I'm not able to get Apple Music working on her phone unless we sign in with my Apple ID. I have Photos and iCloud Drive working wonderfully.

When I check in my "Family Sharing Settings" her Apple ID shows Apple Music as one of the shared features.

When we look on her phone under Settings -> Apple ID -> Family Sharing it shows Apple Music listed as a service she has access to...

When we open Apple Music on her phone and try to play a song it asks her to sign up for a free trial.

When I click the account button at the top right of Music is shows that she's signed in to her account...

It's the same Apple ID listed here as it is when we look under family sharing in settings...

What should be our next steps to get this working? I'd prefer for her to have her own Music set up...

Hey mperreault,

It appears that your wife is unable to use Apple Music with her own Apple ID, as it's asking her to do a free trial, even though she is sharing Apple Music with you through Family Sharing. If you haven't already, you can see if restarting your iPhone may help: Restart your iPhone That may help stop showing the free trial prompt.

another step you can take with your wife's iPhone is to make sure it is fully updated. If there is an available update, you'll want to backup and update as seen in the articles below:

Let us know how those steps go or if you've already tried those too.

Take care.
