ipad email crash with ios 15.1

Hi all - anyone with insights ???

just yesterday ( 2021 Nov 15) installed ios 15.1 on ipad air 3 - immediately afterwards, at first attempt and every time since, email opens a blank window - empty mailbox-icons along bottom of screen - but everything just blank - then, a few seconds later email just closes - I did have the original email icon on the home screen, showing the number of messages, and I see email-notifications coming in on the hime screen... but otherwise email is dead unusable - have tried the usual force-close and deleting email app and re-installing from app store... but now it sticks at the screen 'verifying' email Apple-ID and just keeps reverting to that same screen without getting anywhere -

?????

Yes, same here. Many others have the same problem. I tried everything under the sun, and…nothing, still dead. Exactly like yours. If you are using Pop mail, be careful not to delete mail accounts because you will lose all stored downloaded mail and sent mail. It is an ios problem. Contact Apple thru feedback. Tell them, maybe they will do something. Good luck
