Why won't my iPhone automatically sync to Wi-Fi?

iphone will not automatically sync to wifi. Is there a setting to which I can switch this phone to do that task?

A. Clear Temporary Internet Files:

If connecting is unsuccessful, try clearing out your Temporary Internet Files: History, Cache, and Cookies
