Zoom freezes my audio & video on both Macbook Air & iMac

I use an older Macbook Air with High Sierra 10.13.6 and a 2019 iMac with Big Sur 11.6. On both machines, my zoom meetings freeze my audio and video. I can hear everyone else and see when they share their screens, though if they have their camera on, that freezes. I've checked with my ISP and they don't know what the problem is. My download speeds are excellent and I don't have problems with other online meeting software like Teams or Slack. Is this a Mac problem?
