Reset Macbook Airs

My company has a few MacBook Airs that have been returned to us from employees that have left us, however when I go to reset them using "command R" its still asking me for a password for the employee. Some Airs reset fine, others however I need the password. Any suggestions?

Hello shwitlock,

We see that you need help with MacBook Air.

It sounds like you’re trying to restore the Macs to factory settings. To do that without the password you may need to erase the drive first. You can learn about recovery and the available options here: How to reinstall macOS.

If that doesn't help, can you provide us with more information about what you're trying to accomplish and exactly what's not working?

Cheers!
