I've tried lots of things to download Music from my MacBook Air to my iPod with no success. I have an Apple Music subscription and was able to download from there to my Mac. My iPod is quite old. Not sure what nano version. Does this mean it might not be compatible with Apple Music?

You cannot sync music from Apple Music on your Mac to a device. Since Apple Music works with iCloud Music Library and this is how the music syncs between devices, iPod nano is not compatible.

I was hoping that once I downloaded from Apple Music to my Mac that I would then be able to transfer the music to my iPod which I then dock onto my Polk audio speakers. Guess I need to buy speakers compatible with my iphone, which will replace the iPod. Does this sound correct?
