HI T&J,

Best guides are robbly the Templates included with the application.

In the File menu, choose New from Template, pick a template that you think is similar to your current project, open it and examine the formulas with an eye to what you want your Numbers document to do.

(If the first item in your File menu is "New", press and hold the option key to change that to "New from Template Chooser.")

For instruction invovine functions used in formulas in Numbers, select a cell (one click), type = to open the formula editor and the Function Browser.

The Browser lists every function supported in your version of Numbers, and provides a description of the function, the syntax required when writing the function, an at least one example of the use of that function in a Numbers table.

Numbers Help, found in the Help menu in numbers is also an excellent resource. If you know what you want to accomplish, search for it in Numbers Help.

For help with a specific issue, you're in the right place here. Ask your question, giving as much detail as you can manage, and you'll soon receive an response from one or more of the volunteer users participating here.

Regards,

Barry

Hi T&J

You are welcome.

Thanks for the green checkmark.

I'd suggest that your 'Helpful" token should have been attached to SGIII's post, rather than to your reply.

The Solved and Helpful markers bring the marked posts to the top of the discussion (and keep them there as other posts are added below).

SG's post, pointing to several useful video tutorials, will be helpful to others seeking solution to a similar question.

(And you do have a second "helpful" marker to spend.)

Regards,

Barry
