How to disable sound notifications for mail?

I have disabled every notification under the Notifications & Focus section, however when you get to 'Mail' there is no option for 'Play sound for notifications' that I can toggle on/off. I understand I can just mute my Output Volume but I don't want sound off for everything. Did sound settings for Mail move to different section?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, pandabp.

If we understand your post correctly, you'd like to turn off the sound for incoming Mail on your MacBook Air. We’d like to help.

Follow the steps in this article to access Mail Settings:

Change preferences in Mail on Mac

Select the General tab. Select None in the dropdown menu for New messages sound.

Let us know if that resolves this issue for you.
