Spam calls

Has anyone been able to block an entire area code ? I am getting nearly constant calls from San Antonio, TX with area code and first 3 digits the same. I block each call, but the last 4 numbers change and another call comes through. I am about ready to turn phone off and not use it.

Verizon's Call Filter is useless. I really do not want to change my phone number, I have had it for 25 years and there is no guarantee another number will not yield the same results.
