Apple wired keyboard w/numeric keys doesn't work when plugged thru a Aukey 10port USB3

Apple wired kybd w/numeric keys does work when plugged thru an Aukey 10 port USB3 (powered) hub. But works through a SutechSmart USB-C hub plugged into my new to me 2020 M1 MBPro. All other devices plugged into the Aukey are recognized except for the keyboard.

Any idee why? Is there a solution?

Unfortunately, not all hubs are created equal. The need to find compatible accessories is a common thing.

As to why that is, we're just users like you and have no contact with Apple R&D. If you wish to ask further, you'll need to contact Apple.
