Buying the apple product with warranty ?

I intend to buy an iPad which still have warranty from my friend. So how about the warranty? Is it valid to me ? Do I need any proof of purchase to bring it to apple store for fixing ?

Thanks

In some cases Apple will ask for proof of purchase. Are you referring to the original manufacturer warranty or does the iPad have AppleCare+? If it has AppleCare+ the original owner can transfer ownership to you so they won’t have any issues. I have done this 3 times for devices I have sold that still had the balance of AppleCare+ left. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202712
