iphone still signed into old owner’s account

i bought a iphone 8plus off a guy and he left it signed in to his apple id and when i asked him for it or to remove it from account he blew me off and wouldn’t give me anything. just wondering if there is anything anyone knows. just trying to factory reset the phone so i’m able to create a new account. thanks.

If the previous owner whose ID is on the device and they won't remove the device from their account, the device is worthless. Apple won't unlock it for you.
