Failed to connect iPad mini to a type-c monitor

Hello everyone! I connected my iPad mini to LG type-C monitor with iPad mini type-C cable and it didn’t work. No message popped up. Any solution? I don’t want to use an adapter as both devices support type-C. Thanks!

Extracted from iPad Mini 6th gen tech specs:

USB-C port with support for:

Charging
DisplayPort
USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5Gb/s)

But I don't know the specs of your specific LG monitor model port(s). To be sure, I suggest that you contact LG support team and ask them.
