Notes are not syncing on my iPhone since I have migrated notes from Evernote

Hello,

About a month ago I have exported all my Evernote notes (into multiple .ENEX files) and successful imported them into Apple Notes. Notes are being synced between my iMac, iCloud Web and my Macbook Air (MacOs Monterey) but the notes sync with my iPhone (iOs 15.1) has been completely broken since, only tags are syncing, not the note.

I have tried to turn on/off note into iCloud without success. If I create a note on my phone it's not synced on the other devices and the 3000 or so notes on my other devices aren't synced with my phone.

Thanks!

Hi jf.amadei,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.

Notes syncing is definitely important, and you're in the right place for help. We see your notes sync as expected on two Mac computers and the iCloud website, but not on your iPhone.

It might help to double-check the below If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

"Check your account settings

If you store your notes with a third-party account or email service, like Gmail or Yahoo, check your settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  2. Tap the email account that you want to check.
  3. Make sure that Notes is on.

If you use Notes with more than one email account, just repeat the steps for each account. If your account is missing, learn how to add it again."

Similarly, you might want to tap Settings > Notes and check what you have set for Default Account.

If those suggestions don't help, let us know if iCloud seems to work for syncing other content to your iPhone, like Contacts or Calendar. This would help work out other possibly helpful steps.

Take care.

My experience with Apple Notes is one of utter frustration shared by SO many: iCloud sync has been fundamentally broken for many, many years and Apple will not provide a fix. iCloud sync for Notes may work for some, but for the vast number of ohers it is completely nonfunctional. I also hoped to migrate from Evernote but due to Apple's lack of care about iCloud sync with Notes I simply could not. You will be lead down a huge rabbit hole of supposed fixes, all very cumbersome, and some sync may return for awhile, but ultimately it will repeatedly fail. You're unlikely to find any solution to get the sync working properly, sadly. I encourage you to NOT rely on Apple Notes if sync between devices is important to you.
