Stolen Macbook Pro, how easy is it for thieves to break into it?
My 2020 Macbook Pro was just stolen. I initiated "Find My' and locked the device. I have gotten zero pings or notifications about the location of the Macbook. I haven't initiated the Erase feature because I'm holding out that the thieves are going to turn it on and I will be able to locate it. I'm wondering if anyone knows if a) this is foolish and b) how difficult it is for thieves to break into a locked brand new Macbook while avoiding initiating the Find My feature? There are a few files on there with SS# etc, but I can't imagine they can access those files without initiating the Find My software. Any insight is appreciated!
