Apple School Manager, Managed Apple IDs and Updates

My question concers updates of Apps like Pages, Keynote, GarageBand etc. and the Apple School Manager.

Do I have to add the appropiate number of licenses in Apple School Manager to be able to update these apps?

I cannot run updates for iMovie, Keynote, Pages, GarageBand etc. through App Store because we are talking managed AppleIDs here.

I would appreciate any helpful advice.

Hi saitogemu,

We understand you have some questions about updating apps using Apple School Manager, and we'll do our best to help. When using Apple School Manager, you'll either need to purchase enough licenses for the devices, or re-assign apps from an unused device. We have more details in our user guide here: How to buy content in Apple School Manager

For more information, we encourage you to check out our Apple Support - Education website as well.

Have a great day.
