App library Glitch

Sometimes when I try to search in the app library I get a blank keyboard and upon clicking anywhere on the screen, it types the letter q for a while and the keyboard comes up.

Locking and unlocking the phone solves it momentarily, but comes back again.

Anyone else faced this issue?

Hi there sriram_ks89,

We agree that this isn't expected behavior, and would like to offer our help.

From your post, we see you have an iPhone 12. The latest version is iOS 15.1.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If you're already up to date, have you tried a restart? If not, this link shows how to Restart your iPhone.

When did this first start?

Have a good one!

Hello sriram_ks89,

While you may need to contact Apple about this, we'd like to continue ruling out what we can:

  1. Best guess on how long after updating to iOS 15.1.1 did this start to occur?
  2. What were the results from restarting your iPhone?
  3. As you mentioned it happens sometimes, have you noticed this occurs after performing a specific action on your iPhone, or even after using a specific app?

Take care!
