Wrong artwork selected by iTunes

Since a recent iTunes update, my iTunes consistently downloads the wrong artwork. Normally it is from the same artist, but just a completely different album. This happens when I load a CD into the library. It is not just with newly released albums either. Has anyone else had this? Is there a fix or do we wait for an Apple update?

Hi rdbuk,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with album artwork since updating iTunes. We're happy to provide some information to assist.

It's possible the incorrect information is being pulled from the iTunes Store. We'd recommend checking File > Library > Get Album Artwork and importing with the option off to test. If needed, the guide here can also help you navigate: Add artwork to content in iTunes on PC
