IOS 15.1.1 connected to Wi-Fi but “no internet connection”

Ever since the iOS 15 upgrade on my brand new iPhone 13 Pro. I have been having issues staying connected to my Wi-Fi which is a Eero Mesh Pro 6 environment. I will be connected fine for a while pushing up and down speeds of around 326mbs then it will just halt and go to around 20mbs then when I go to Wi-Fi page I see “no internet connection”. As shown in picture below. This has also given the same issue on my 2016 iPad Pro since the iOS 15 update. All my other devices in the house have no internet issues including older iPad that aren’t on iOS 15. This issue has been the biggest headache because my cell service is not that good at home and I usually make and receive calls through Wi-Fi calling. I updated iPhone to iOS 15.1.1 yesterday hoping this would resolve issue but it has not. I have also spent hours on phone with apple and eero support and have not been able to resolve this issue. Again, I never had this issue prior to installing iOS 15 on my devices…

I believe I found the fix... go to wifi settings> find your network>click (i)-info button>set proxy to automatic-DONT FORGET TO SAVE>then go to DNS settings>choose Manual>delete current setting>add new DNS 8.8.8.8

I hope this works for you, I tried at least 20 different fixes.

Good luck!

I'm also having issues with my 13 Pro Max, in my case my wifi works fine until I lock the device. After staying locked for around 10-15 minutes I'll go to use the phone and I'll see the wifi icon as if I'm connected and have internet but also get the "no internet connection", I have to turn off and on wifi for it to work. This has been an issue since day one after upgrading from an 11 Pro Max on ios 15 which had no issues.

Apple support couldn't help, they say I should take it to a repair center but I'm 100% positive it's a ios 15, 15.1 and 15.1.1 issue so I highly doubt the repair center will fix anything.

Here's to hoping ios 15.2 finally fixes this bug.

Support probably told you to try this already, and it's not an actual fix but may help mitigate dropping off the network. Try setting your Eero or whatever WiFi solution to 2.4Ghz channel only. The easy, temporary way would be to create a new WiFi SSID just for your phone, have it only use 2.4Ghz and connect to that. If that fails then set it to 5Ghz only and see if that works. 2.4 is slower, but it's better than dropping every few minutes/seconds. Apple has to be aware of it at this point, hopefully a hot fix is coming ASAP.

Today, both my iphone 13 pro max and ipad pro with ios 15.2 became unable to connect the internet through our Eero pro mesh system. Computer and other devices remain able to connect. iphone and ipad pro can connect through cox public wifi. Restarting iphone and ipad didn't help. resetting network settings on iphone didn't help. Am waiting for family to get off video calls to reset cable modem and eero syster.

Updated to 15.3 still having same issue with wifi. Tried your suggestion. Same issue. This is the type of issue that makes someone who has been a die hard apple fan since the first iPod, 1st iPhone, 1st iPad, 1st Apple TV, Apple Watch Series 1 switch over to android. This is getting beyond ridiculous…. 5mths with brand new phone still same issue. iPad Pro which used to work great prior to iOS 15…. Same issue. Please fix this issue APPLE!!!!!!

Try turning wifi assist off, it is under the cellular, scroll to the bottom and turn off. I did this the same time I manually set the DNS. I did turn it back on after it started working and it seems to be fixed. Also, if you haven't, delete/forget all wifi connections, reset network connections>general>bottom of page Transfer or Reset iphone>Reset at bottom>select Network Reset ONLY. After turn off wifi assist> hard restart device (vol up, vol down, hold right button until apple comes up iphone XR-13), add wifi networks back, turn OFF all private wifi settings (private wifi & limit IP tracking) and see if it works. If it does you should be able to turn wifi assist back on. Hope that works. Another possibility is that your router has Access Controls on. If so turn that off and reset router. Access controls require permission to access router, the new IOS is changing so it isnt recognizing devices previously allowed. GOOD LUCK! I have been dealing with this for months and finally got it to work yesterday. Apple tech support was no help as everyone stated. They just pass the buck to the router or ISP.
