Upgrade to Apple TV 4K: questions

I have what I believe is a 3rd generation Apple TV. It is not 4K. Now that I have a 4K television, I am considering buying an Apple TV 4K.

  1. Can the existing power cord be used from the old Apple TV? Because the power cord is in the back of the entertainment center, it would be easy for me to just unplug the cord from the back of the old Apple TV, and plug it into the back of the new Apple TV.
  2. It does not come with an HDMI cable?
  3. It comes with a USB to lightning cable. What is that used for?

  1. The power cords are similar and compatible, compared to previous ones.
  2. The Apple TV box ships without HDMI cable. Only you know what length you need. You may want to shop for a 48 Gbps HDMI cable (“Ultra Hight Speed”) to match the HDMI 2.1 ports on your equipment. A 18 Gbps HDMI cable (“Premium High Speed”) is sufficient for all supported features if you connect to HDMI 2.0 ports.
  3. The Lightning-to-USB cable is for charging the remote.
