Refund with a new Device Acct Number

I got a new phone so Apple Pay has assigned my same credit card a new device acct #. I now need to return an item purchased online with my previous phone. The online site is showing the refund will go to my previous device account #. Wondering will my credit card get the refund with a different device acct # associated with it?
