Why apple does not enable a feature that requires the face ID or password before switching off.. This would prevent theft.

Apple provides a feature to remotely set a passcode, and a feature that performs a remote reset.


As for your suggestion, send it to Apple: Product Feedback - Apple

The remote passcode: Use the Find My app to locate a missing device or item - Apple Support
