Why apple does not enable a feature that requires the face ID or password before switching off.. This would prevent theft.

Face id or passcode Hello everyone. I am from Georgia (saqartvelo). In my country there is high percentage of criminal an 90% of phones (iphone an others) are stolen and police can’t find it. they steal phones, shutting them down and than they are sell by it parts. I want to know is possible or not to require passcode or face ID when phone is shutting down. It can be helpful when you lost it (nobody can shut it down) and you can gind it with your shared location or iCloud also. Thank you.

unlocked iphone 13 stolen My iphone 13 has been snatched out of my hand today. Unfortunately it was not locked as I was checking my messages while it was stolen. I am trying to erase it through Find my phone, but it is still pending as I guess the phone is online. My worry is, as phone was not locked, can thief basically go into settings and change my face id to his face id? Or does this require to type password firstly?

Can I see who has signed in to my account and what device was signed in How can someone sign in to my account if they are not on my phone when I have Face ID setup and where can I find who’s been on my account?

Apple provides a feature to remotely set a passcode, and a feature that performs a remote reset.
