Final Cut Pro Multi Cam Edit Issues

Hi ,

I'm using Final Cut Pro 10.6.1 and MAC OS Big Sur 11.6.1. When I combine the two clips as a multi cam clip in the viewer I can only see one angle even though I have multiple angles set in the viewer. Also when I double click on the multi cam clip in the project window it goes down to the time line but does not seperate all clips and there is only one clip with a thumbnail of each clip at either end and nothing in the middle. I've used multi cam edits before so unsure why it is not working correctly .

Do you have ins and outs on your clips? That might cause the reduced durations. Did you name the angles in the inspector? Looks like both ended up in the same angle. Did you assign camera numbers to the clips before making the multicam? Of there’ they’re separate camera angles they should be on separate lanes.

I have also a problem with muticam in 10.6.1 I have 2 camera 2 Z90 and we use them for multicam. 1 is running 2 hours and the other on eis taking shots. Never there was a problem, but with 10.6.1 there is the audio doesn’t sysc any morte. We are using this for years and do on Big Sur and 10.6.1 it doesn’t work any more. Not one clip is in sync. We now use 10.5.8 and it works OK

So is there a problem with Multicam sync in FCP 10.6.1?

Hi Tom ,

This is what I get both thumbnails only play for a few minutes then just black in between so it does not select the whole clip. I've just tried it on my MAC at home using Monterey 12.0.1 and get the same result any help would be greatly appreciated . :)
