Multiple extended displays for MacBook Pro 2021

Qn on 2 displays with 2021 MacBook Pro:

Do I need two separate USB-C to HDMI connectors or will one USB-C-->2HDMI connector work? Goal is not to mirror, but extend the displays. Thanks in advance for the answers.

Any limitation for display connection on macbook pro? 'm trying to connect 2 displays to macbook pro with M1, 2021. I need to use them to extend desktop, not to mirror. For that I have the following adapter, which claims to give dual monitor. However, the most I can achieve is mirroring mode, from which I conclude that there is a limitation in usb-c port or macbook video adapter to use single usb-c port per display. It means if I want to have extending mode, I need to use two usb-c ports(which obviously tested and works). Can someone confirm this limitation?

Extending my Macbook Pro to two displays (not duplicating) Hi there, I want to extend my Macbook Pro screen to two displays - one to the left and one to the right on my desk. I initially looking into finding a HDMI splitter to use the HDMI port to extend the display to two monitors. However most of the products I found only allow duplication - not extension. Does anyone have experience of finding a splitter that does extend? The alternative would be to use the HDMI port and then also a USB port on my Macbook Pro (USB-A as its a 2014 model). I assume I'd need a USB to HDMI converter. However this is obviously less convenient but could still work. Any help appreciated.
