iPhone 13 mini turning on and off while charging

I just purchased an iPhone 13 mini and for some reason whenever I connect it to a charger the screen randomly auto locks and wakes up on its own. It’s as if I’m pressing the power button over and over, even when I’m not touching the phone. This is only when I’m charging it, and I’ve tried three different chargers so I know it’s not a problem with the charger itself. The operating system is up to date and I have tried force restarting it twice. Any suggestions?

How about the charging cable? Have you tried a different charging cable? Is there dirt accumulated in the charging port?

Apple's 1YR Limited Warranty should still be active on your iPhone 13 Mini. Take advantage of it. Have it examined at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center for diagnosis and resolution. You may also begin by contacting ➔ Apple Support

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Press and quickly release Volume UP button
Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
