allergy to earpod cords

A lot of people say they're allergic to earbud tips. Does anyone else have an allergic reaction to the wire cords?

I get red rashes on my neck wherever the wires have been. I had to try out a couple brands until I found some that didn't cause problems but I know the Apple ones do cause allergic reactions for me.

If so, does anyone know what the wire cords are made of so I can identify what I'm allergic to?
