Downgrade from Monterey to Big Sur

Did anyone try to downgrade from Monterey to Big Sur? What would be the right way to do that?

My macbook air 2020 goes crazy after the update to Monterey - there's a constant noise even if only few tab are open and they are not even the videos(. It's very loud and also the performance has noticeably decreased

Is anyone experiencing the same?

Thanks!

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

Have you installed or run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac? If you have they may be part of the problem. You should determine if there's any 3rd party software that causing your problems.

With that in mind boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
