Apple TV 4K Keeps Crashing

I have a 64 GB Apple TV 4K for a few years and have never had an issue. I recently upgraded to a new 65” LG 4K TV and my Apple TV is constantly crashing. I’ve done all of the troubleshooting recommended by support, including a hard reset of the Apple TV, making sure that it was updated, and matching content.

Is it possibly related to Dolby Vision (which I did not have on my old TV) and/or my HDMI cable?

Please help!

Please describe in more detail what happens when it does what you call “crashing”.

Is it possibly related to Dolby Vision (which I did not have on my old TV) and/or my HDMI cable?

Dolby Vision requires different settings and possibly a higher standard for HDMI cables than your current cabling.

Verify that your HDMI cables are rated 18 Gbps (“Premium High Speed”) or better.

Try Reset VideoSettings.
