Your system has run out of application memory

Brand new Macbook Pro 2021 - M1 one week of use. Why am I getting ‘Your system has run out of application memory`?

I'm only running 5 apps in the MB range and none are heavy editing apps. They are browsers and small task apps.

I didn't spend 3k on a computer for this bs. ...

Hi, revoltforhealthcare, and thanks for reaching out. We see you're having an issue with your Mac running out of application memory.


We'll be glad to help.


To determine what's causing it, you'll need to check your memory usage in Activity Monitor. View memory usage in Activity Monitor on Mac


Once you do that, you should be able to see which application(s) are using up memory; then from there would need to find a way to decrease their memory usage. Having an almost full SSD can also be part of what can cause this to happen.
