Terminal working directory ?

Whenever I open the terminal app it takes about 5 seconds to start up / locate the directory (seems to be running through javareconfig and sed) before putting me, seemingly, in my home directory but on a remote computer?

Here is what terminal shows me the working directory is.

I've seen a few other posts on this topic and none of the solutions seemed to fix my issue (i.e. setting HOSTNAME=$(my-hostname), running $exit, etc.)

Not sure what to do at this point; any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try a different profile in Terminal? Make sure "Default login shell" is specified and not a Command in Preferences. Make sure your default profile isn't doing anything like running a startup command under the Shell tab.
