Spotlight Not Working

Since Monterey was released Spotlight crashes on my MBP 2016. Apple advise this is a known issue and it means I can't search in Spotlight or Finder. Presumably they will release a 'fix' when they have one. Meanwhile any suggestions on how I can search for files other than by browsing through directories and sub directories?

Problems with Spotlight on Monterey Hello everyone. I just got a new MacBook Pro M1 Max with Monterey on it, and I am having a problem with Spotlight. I have been a Mac user for the past 30 years, and since Spotlight was launched, I have been able to both show the location of the file by holding down the COMMAND key and go to the folder where the file is located by holding down the COMMAND key and clicking on the file itself. With this new version of MacOS (Monterey 12.2.1) I can no longer do that. The file path is not shown when I hold the COMMAND key while a file is selected, and if I click on a file by holding the COMMAND key, Spotlight just opens the file. Any thoughts on that? Is there anything I must set or change to make that happen again? The way it is now Spotlight is 50% useless for me. Thank you in advance for any thoughts!

Spotlight Indexing Problem Cant Be Temporarily Solved Spotlight searches on my mac (Monterey 12.0.1) does not bring many files I am looking for. Even the ones I use everyday. Community forum recommends: "Drag the disk or folder that you want to index again to the list of locations that Spotlight is prevented from searching. Or click the add button (+) and select the disk or folder to add. From the same list of locations, select the disk or folder that you just added. Then click the remove button (–) to remove it from the list." This helps at first but in a short while same problem occurs. I have to do this everyday. Does anybody have a temporary solution to spotlight indexing problem? Thank you!
