How do I transfer an image from Messages to my Photo Library?

MacBook, macOS 10.12
Tap and hold down on the image and select Save from the pop up menu.
Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!

TOUCH and HOLD on the image and this will reveal a sub-menu. From this sub-menu, Tap on Save.
