Spanish subtitles??

I just bought a new Apple TV box and remote to replace an older one, everything is fine except I only have Spanish subtitles even though I’ve set it up for English subtitles in the Apple TV settings. I’ve double checked the particular site, like Hulu, as well as my tv. I was able to set the subtitles up to appear white letters over black on Apple TV setting, and it did, yet they appear in Spanish only. I really think this is an Apple TV thing as it’s associated with the new box and no other captioning options have given me custom options for those captions.
