Hello, I am watching Apple TV via the Amazon Fire stick. What do I have to do to put subtitles in foreign languages other than English. Nowhere I see the option for that. Thanks

How to get English subtitles when living in a non-English region I'm an expat living abroad in Denmark. My Apple TV only offers subtitles in Scandinavian languages. It is beyond frustrating, if I want to watch any film in another language, e.g. Parasite, or Another Round, mainstream Oscar films, there are no English subtitles available, even with my operating language set to English. Please Apple sort this annoying problem out.

I watch Netflix on Apple tv and also on my computer. How can I set my tv to play video content in the original language? I can watch Netflix fine on my computer, French language programs are in French with English subtitles, Spanish content is in Spanish with English subtitles. On my apple tv everything is dubbed in English. Each time I watch a program I have to change my language to that language (to French or Spanish or English) and then change the language back to English when I'm done. Isn't there a way to set it up to show every program in its original language with English subtitles? Why can I do this for Netflix when I'm on my computer and not when I'm using Apple TV?

Control what’s playing in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

Turn on subtitles and closed captioning (if available)

During playback, press the down button on the smart TV or streaming device remote to show the Subtitles pane, then select an option.
