Hide/show menu bar on command when in full screen?

Now that I have a M1Pro MacBook Pro 16 with the notch I enjoy having the menu bars when in full screen, so I disabled the Automatically hide and show the menu bar in full screen option in Dock and Menu Bart Preferences.

The issue is that when watching videos, such as YouTube, the menu remains and I have to go into preferences to change this setting.

Ideally, I would like to create a script that I could trigger through a key combination to switch this setting to on or off.

I tried with this:

tell application "System Events"
	tell dock preferences
set autohide menu bar to false
	end tell
end tell

But that will only interact with the Automatically hide and show the menu bar on desktop option. I have not found the combination for the full screen option yet.

Is there a way to do this and if someone could help talk me through this (as I am not really up to speed with Apple scripting) that would be great!

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.0
