Why won’t Alexa properly shuffle my Apple Music Playlists?

So I’ve seen variations of this question across multiple platforms and no one has an actual answer. I have a whole home audio system connected to an Echo Dot and I have linked my Apple Music account with my Amazon account. I have learned all the tricks to make it shuffle playlists that are shorter, 10-15 songs max. But I have a HUGE playlist, 15-20 albums, of Christmas music to play during the day while decorating or on Christmas Day etc.. No matter what combination of commands I give Alexa will only shuffle and play the songs from the first album. When I look on the Alexa app it only displays the songs from that first album as coming up, it won’t play anything beyond that first album.

Hey there Shashtoh,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. We understand you're having issues with shuffling your Apple Music playlist when using Alexa, and we'd be happy to provide you with the best resources.

For help with this particular issue, take a look at the steps listed in the following resource that may be able to help: Play Apple Music with Alexa - Apple Support

If the steps in the above resource are unable to help, then we'd recommend reaching out to Amazon's support using the 'get help from Amazon' link under the "Get help" section.

Take care!
