How to type in Roman numbers in Latex of Keynote?

Roman numerals in the preface, and normal/arabic numbers in the text, on pages? I have successfully splitted the document in two sections, so that it counts from 1 to 6, and then from 1 to 11 (after page 6). I am writing an academic paper, and would like to have my preface numbered with roman numerals, but when I try to change the format of the numbers in the first section, the numbers in the other section also become roman. Is it possible to have two different number types in the same document? In the page numbers in the bottom.

old-style numerals In Pages 11, can I ask for old-style numerals? I'm using Minion Pro, which offers both lining numerals and old-style. I started by copying in an old doc, in which all the numerals were old-style. But when I type a numeral, it comes as a lining numeral, and they look really weird together. I found instructions to do this on older versions of pages (Show Fonts: Typography) but v. 11 doesn't seem to have that pathway.

Apple's equation editor as found in Pages, Numbers, and Keynote does not support TeX/LaTeX \usepackage syntax or roman numeral kernel primitives. Therefore, a typical entry format in the equation editor is:

\displaystyle\textrm{MMXXI}
\textstyle\textrm{i}
