Macbook Air 2020 running hot since installing Monterey

After a short while of use the fans start up and stay on permenantly. Is anyone elses experiencing this problem? Are there any fixes? Shall i go back to Big Sur?

Open the Activity Monitor >> View >> View ALL processes. Look for unusual heavy CPU Usages by Process or Application name. Do the same in Memory tab.

You are looking for a Run Away Process or Application causing the excessive CPU / Memory usage causing the Fans to Ramp Up and stay on all the time.

Welcome.

Depending on how soon after the upGrade to Monterey the Fan Issue pressed itself - it could be normal as the computer is re-Indexing the entire drive and all the contents. If should, if all is normal, finish indexing after some hours or days depending on how much data is on the drive.

Thanks for the info, i've never used Activity Monitor. Actually my fans stopped just after posting that question! When/if it happens again i'll check the activity.
