My laptop fan keeps running and my keyboard is really hot, and the battery doesn't even last an hour now. What is going on? Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone tried to uninstall this version and maybe it went back to working as normal?

Have you rebooted more than once since the upgrade(?)
I would Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
If this is a Intel Mac.
